🌍 Project Scope: International Legal Dictionary

Current Implementation (Netherlands)

⚠️ Active Content: All 3,400+ current dictionary terms and legislation translations are specific to Netherlands Dutch (nl-NL) law as applied in the Netherlands, even when displayed in other languages (English, French, German, Spanish). This is not applicable to Dutch law in Belgium, Suriname, or other Dutch-speaking jurisdictions.

Research has been completed on 33 verified open-data sources covering:

💡 Translation vs. Definition: Translation dictionaries (bilingual) provide translations between languages. Monolingual dictionaries provide definitions and explanations within the same language. For example, the FR-FR dictionary explains French legal terms in French, not translations to/from French.
